Stool Makeover: Part 2

So here is the current status of my chair:

Pretty cool right? This is what all those paint layers look like after spraying it with paint stripper and letting it sit for about thirty minutes. There was once a pretty painted flower on that seat. Looks kind of abstract art now.

I was easily able to scrape off several layers with just a putty knife, but was extra careful not to scratch the metal. I needed to spray it a second time with paint stripper and let it sit another half hour because the paint was really thick in some spots. After the second coat of paint stripper I used some #0000 steel wool to clean up the rest.
